Tim Allen of Cary hits out of a snowy bunker on the 15th hole Thursday at the Golf Club of Illinois in Algonquin. Higher than normal temperatures attracted 47 golfers to the links-style course. The course opens again Friday at 9 am. Allen was golfing with friend Chuck Barrett, also of Cary. They had been talking for months of taking advantage of the first nice day for a round of golf.
