District 300 candidates' forum
Residents of Community Unit District 300 are invited to attend a forum with candidates for the school board. The forum, hosted and moderated by the Carpentersville-Dundee League of Women Voters, will be held at 11 a.m. March 7 at the Dundee Township Senior Center, 665 Barrington Ave., Carpentersville. Candidates will make opening statements and answer questions from the audience. Six candidates are seeking one of three, 4-year terms on the board: Karen Roeckner, Anne Miller, Dave Alessio, Rob Lee, Dorothy Jordan and Tracey Perez.
Getting crafty in Pingree Grove
Pingree Grove will be holding its second annual craft show May 16, and is looking for artists to display their handmade wares. There is no fee to enter, just a $50 deposit to hold your space in Pingree Park. the deposit will be returned after the fair. The deadline to enter is April 15. Summer job fair
Village of South Elgin and other local businesses will holding a job fair from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14 at the Village Municipal Annex, 1 W. State St., for seasonal summer work in the Parks and Recreation Department. Information on available jobs will be provided, along with applications. Village staff will be on hand to answer questions.
