Do your job, which isn't raising taxes

It is so good to see our Illinois politicians getting back to the work of the people. First order of business, raise taxes. They won't raise all the taxes yet, just the ones that affect everyone so they can get the biggest bang for our buck. These are the same people who blamed George Bush for making the economy so bad that in order for them to fix it they need to raise taxes. What is with these people? That is precisely why, when it comes to politics and politicians, I have always said, "Don't listen to what they say, watch what they do." In this case, they complain about everyone being broke and losing their jobs, and what do they do to stimulate the economy? Raise the tax on gasoline so when we need to drive our cars to look for a job, it will cost us more. What a great idea. Oh, it is so they can fix the potholes so it is a worthy cause, right? Wrong, can you remember Build Illinois? That was when our then-governor raised all kinds of fees, not taxes, so we could rebuild Illinois. The fees are still there and the roads are still poor. Stop with the excuses, and do your jobs, not raise taxes.
