One injured in fire at Lombard coating company
One person was injured during a fire at E/M Coating Services in suburban Lombard late Tuesday night.
Officials from the Lombard Fire Department said they were toned out for the structure fire at 11:25 p.m. to battle the blaze in the painting area of the plating company at 129 S. Eisenhower Lane.
An employee of E/M Coating was transported from the scene to the burn unit of Loyola Medical Center in Maywood following the blaze. Officials would not release the extent of the injuries or whether the injuries are life-threatening.
The fire was under control and out just after midnight, officials said, but the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
Fire departments from Downers Grove, Lisle-Woodridge, Oak Brook, and York Center assisted to contain the fire.
