Learn basics about city government at meeting to be held in Spanish
Oralia Braun, community outreach coordinator for the city of Elgin, will present an informational program in Spanish about how the city works in "Know Your Rights and Responsibilities as a Resident" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 at Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin.
She will talk about how the government is structured, what each department is responsible for and the tasks city officials perform. A question-and-answer session will be included.
