Stimulus must be simplified

What is targeted in this Stimulus Bill? Generally I support the need for a timely, targeted and temporary Stimulus Bill as articulated by Larry Summers, but I find the current piece of legislation falls far short in the areas of targeted and temporary.

How can a bill that is over 650 pages be called targeted? Who can explain the specifics of what spending will create what jobs? Who among us believes this can be effectively administered by the federal government.

Why not a simpler version that we all can understand? Also, has anyone even tried to explain what is temporary about this bill? It's looking like the same old bureaucracy and political special interests at work to me. Where is the change that I can believe in?
