Hoffman Estates woman charged with selling drugs near park
A Hoffman Estates woman Saturday was order to pay a $50,000 bond after being charged with selling cocaine and ecstasy near a public park.
Yvonne Jordan, 28, of Hoffman Estates was arrested Friday and charged with selling a controlled substance within a 1,000 feet of a park, a Class X felony, as well as felony possession and felony delivery of controlled substances.
On Feb. 13, Jordan allegedly sold a baggie with about 1 gram of cocaine and another containing four pills while at an office building in Hoffman Estates not far from a park.
Laboratory tests later showed the white powder to be cocaine and the pills were ecstacy, said Assistant State's Attorney James Pontrelli.
Jordan, a mother of three, will appear at 9 a.m. March 27 at Cook County Circuit Court in Rolling Meadows.
