Dundee Township Public Library

On Sunday, March 1, the Dundee Township Public Library in East Dundee will host a special reception for the 2009 Dundee-Crown High School Art Show students who are currently exhibiting their work through March 19.

From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., the students, their parents, teachers and the community are invited to join the library board and staff in honoring the exhibitors.

Light refreshments will be served. The reception is free and open to the public.

Last year, more than 150 people attended the event. The library is at 555 Barrington Ave. in East Dundee. For information, call (847) 428-3661, ext. 308.

Academy of Irish Music Concert: The Academy of Irish Music brings traditional Irish music performed by students from the Irish American Heritage Center to the Dundee Township Public Library at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 10. The group is featured each year at Chicago's Celtic Fest and Milwaukee's Irish Fest. A lively and entertaining show performed by young and talented musicians who give their all. Seating is limited for this popular show, so you must register soon at dundeelibrary.info.

Tax Help for Seniors: Free tax preparation for seniors and low- to middle-income taxpayers is offered on Thursdays through April 9 at the library. Appointments are required; call (847) 428-3661, ext. 308.
