Two bodies found in Huntley home
A 33-year-old Huntley woman found shot death along with her ex-boyfriend obtained an order of protection against him three months ago claiming he was "not right in the head" and she was scared for her safety.
Jennifer Beaudion, of 11021 Janice, received the two-week protective order Nov. 20 after her car began acting strangely just days after, she reported, former boyfriend David J. Griner discovered she was seeing another man.
Grinner, Beaudion wrote in an affidavit, also called her boss and sent insensitive text messages to her co-workers after he discovered the other relationship.
"I have called the police before because we got in a fight and I was scared," Beaudion wrote. "He has a bad history and says scary things. He is not right in the head. I am scared for me, my family and friends."
The order barred Griner from contacting Beaudion or coming within 200 feet of her home, workplace in Lake Villa or another address in Huntley.
But despite those fears, Beaudion chose not to seek a two-year order of protection against Griner when the two-week order expired Dec. 9.
The bodies of Beaudion and Griner, 39, were found in her home about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday by an officer conducting a wellness check that had been requested for her. Both had been shot to death.
Police are saying the shootings were not a random.
"This incident does not appear to be a random act of violence, and the community is in no danger as a result of this incident," Police Chief John Perkins said in a statement Wednesday night.
Autopsies are planned later this morning and police will hold an 11 a.m. news conference.
Court documents show Beaudion and Griner were living together at the Janice address when she sought the order of protection against him. Griner, police said, was living at 10875 Shenandoah Lane as of Wednesday.
