In the play, the people of Thebes are under siege, suffering from a plague. There is only one man that can save themĀ - Oedipus. They look to him to lift a terrible curse that has fallen on the city. Oedipus learns that he must find the man who murdered the former King of Thebes. But his relentless interrogation of one man after another leads him closer to a revelation about himself.

Audience members are invited to take part in the production by moving with the actors freely about the performance space, or they can see the performance seated next to the action.
