Arrest made in South Side triple homicide

Police in Chicago have arrested a suspect in last week's shooting deaths of three teenagers.

Police spokesman Officer Daniel O'Brien says the man was taken into custody, but O'Brien didn't have any details. He says the suspect was arrested on a warrant connected with the triple homicide, but he says he doesn't know specifically what the warrant was for.

O'Brien wouldn't identify the suspect because he hasn't been officially charged.

Three teenagers, the youngest 13 years old, were shot and killed Friday on the city's South Side. At the time, police said it appeared that several people attacked the teens and that the attack apparently involved an assault rifle.
