Cody pops in at Oscars
What a difference a year makes for screenwriter Diablo Cody. The Lemont native and Lisle Benet Academy alumna was low-profile at this year's Academy Awards, after winning the Oscar for best original screenplay for "Juno" last year. The Web site popsugar.com did report that she put in an appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Otherwise, Cody continues to work on her Showtime series "United States of Tara" with Toni Collette, and her script for "Jennifer's Body," about a possessed cheerleader, which is in postproduction with a September release date. She also just committed to produce the film from S.G. Browne's upcoming novel, "Breathers: A Zombie's Lament," although she's farming out the script on that project.
