Home improvement show finishing up this weekend

• The Pleasant Home Foundation celebrates Daniel Burnham's 1909 "Plan of Chicago" with a series of lectures titled "Beyond Burnham - Historic Town Planning." At 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, Michael Shymanski of the Historic Pullman Foundation discusses Solon S. Beman's designs of Pullman from 1879-1880s at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake St., Oak Park.
