Want to meet Ronnie 'Woo Woo?' He'll be in Elgin

Rookies All-American Pub and Grill welcomes Ronnie "Woo Woo" Wickers from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20.

Ronnie Wickers, best known for his loud, enthusiastic cheering, has attended more than 3,200 major league baseball games and is commonly called the "world's greatest Chicago Cubs fan."

He will be at Rookies signing copies of the recently released "Cubbie Blues: 100 Years of Waiting Till Next Year," a compilation of essays, art work and trivia from acclaimed authors such as Sara Paretsky, Scott Simon, James Finn Garner, Don DeGrazia and Rick Kogan.

The book chronicles the longest losing streak in sports history. Rookies is at 2486 Bushwood Drive, Elgin. Admission is free; half pound burgers are $1. For information, call (847) 902-3664.
