Bartlett manager to direct USA Football events

USA Football, the sport's national governing body on youth and amateur levels, has hired Frank Priami of Bartlett as its events manager.

In his new position, Priami will manage, create and work to strengthen USA Football events, with special emphasis on the independent non-profit's 12 Player Academies. USA Football Player Academies are three-day football camps for youngsters aged 9-14.

A former student of Harper College, Priami joins USA Football with more than 15 years of managerial experience, including seven in football administration. From 2000-2006, Priami served Scout Camp Pro Football Combines as a group leader and director. Priami also contributed toward the 2008 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, where he was responsible for planning, registration, field activities and coaching staff coordination.

"It's exciting to contribute to an organization that sincerely cares about the future of America's favorite sport," Priami said. "I look forward to helping create a learning environment for coaches, players and parents to strengthen this great game on youth and amateur levels."

USA Football has helped train more than 16,000 youth coaches nationwide since 2006 and was started by the NFL and NFL Players Association in 2002. The organization has provided more than $1.5 million in equipment grants for youth leagues and high school football programs since 2006 and offers volunteer background check subsidies to all youth football leagues.
