Arlington Hts.' Innocent playing Reggie's Music Joint

Hot off its set opening for Cracker at Durty Nellie's, The Innocent, led by Michael Hardey of Arlington Heights, takes it downtown for a show at Reggie's Music Joint. Oso Closo is the headliner, and Parachute Musical and Black Dog are also on the bill.

ESO's Presidents Week

The Elgin Symphony Orchestra celebrates this week's Presidents Day with a "Patriotic Pops" program in three shows this weekend. The ESO performs Aaron Copland's "Lincoln Portrait," with narration by James Rank, and a series of rousing John Philip Sousa marches.

Show-tune stoppers

The Metropolis Performing Arts Centre plays host to "A Night of All-Star Cabaret: A Benefit Performance From Metropolis to Broadway" early next week. Both local products and Broadway imports will be singing an array of show tunes from "Jersey Boys," "Les Mis" and other musicals. Proceeds benefit the Metropolis Outreach programs.
