Shame on those who want to see us fail

I read with outrage a letter published in the Feb. 7 paper. It came from a close-minded conservative from Naperville who spits venom all over your Opinion page by actually agreeing with Rush Limbaugh.

I am truly frightened when I think that people like him and this letter writer have such anger and hatred in their heart. President Obama only recently took office, and already Limbaugh is hoping for his failure, and the letter writer actually agrees with him. Shame on the Daily Herald for publishing such trash and shame on Robert Graham for wanting to see our country fail. After all, the American public spoke loud and clear by electing Obama and rejecting the negative attacks McCain and Palin threw at him. Plus, I recall that whenever anyone questioned former President Bush on the Iraq war, they were labeled as anti-troops. I think the same label should be placed on Limbaugh and all his cronies as anti-American, anti-American business, anti-troops as well. Again, I am outraged and ashamed to be an American to see such idiocy and venom in the paper and know people walk around with that in their hearts. Truly a dark day.
