Stem cell research takes lives of unborn

I agree with Cynthia Tucker that George W. Bush's refusal to expand human embryos stem cell research cannot be proven to have caused deaths, on the other hand it most certainly has prevented deaths of thousands unborn babies.

He definitely has tried to move us out of today's truly barbaric Dark Ages by funding the much more promising ethical adult stem cell research which finds cures without resorting to killing our own babies. Why is today's modern world so bound and determined to kill babies when there are other alternatives?

How can these killings justifiably be called "restoring science to its rightful place?"
