New superintendent a great Guy to lead

Accolades to the Libertyville District 70 Board of Education; congratulations to district faculty, students and staff and to fellow Libertyville parents and taxpayers.

The Feb. 2 announcement of Guy Schumacher as our next superintendent is deserving of communitywide celebration.

I have come to know Guy as a highly effectual, child-first leader who builds and nurtures relationships, is unafraid of change and works tirelessly to make Butterfield School its best.

When searching for the right person to make District 70 even better, there could not have been a better choice than Guy. Let the festivities begin!
