Crash shuts down Algonquin Road

A one-vehicle accident on Route 62 near Old Sutton Road in Barrington Hills Saturday morning disrupted traffic briefly and caused injuries, police said.

A vehicle crashed into an electrical pole at about 10:20 a.m., prompting authorities to close the road for about 45 minutes while utility crews made repairs.

Weather was not a factor in the crash, officials said. Police would not say how many people were in the vehicle or if they had to be hospitalized.
