Where is the outrage?

Last night I watched the Letterman show and have to wonder just where is the outrage? Our ex-governor is making a fool of himself and all people from Illinois on national TV. I opened my paper this morning and the first thing I see is Tom Daschle asking forgiveness for not paying $120,000 in taxes. Since then he has withdrawn. Nancy Killefer, proposed first chief performance officer for the federal government, failed to paid taxes on her employee. Tim Geithner, now Treasury Secretary, failed to pay income taxes to the tune of $34,000. Notice a sprinkling of both parties!

Why is it that certain, not all, politicians once elected have to climb to the highest platform and dive into the cesspool below - particularly Illinois - and there is no outrage? Then next October, a new bunch comes into the neighborhoods proposing change and the same old story. Where is the outrage?
