New Arlington Heights trustee update

Arlington Heights Village President Arlene Mulder met with trustees in closed session on Monday to discuss her pick to fill Virginia Kucera's trustee seat. Kucera quit in January to spend more time with her family.

Even though Kucera resigned only a few months before her term expires in April, the village will have to fill her seat. Mulder has 60 days to pick someone and the board has to vote to confirm her choice. Mulder has said she wants the person approved before budget hearings in March.

The village board will probably confirm the person in the next couple of weeks, Mulder said.
