House explodes in southwestern Ill.

PONTOON BEACH -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a reported house explosion near the southwestern Illinois town of Pontoon Beach.

There's no immediate word on any injuries.

Authorities say the explosion happened about 6:30 a.m. Friday near Illinois Routes 162 and 111.

Television footage showed debris strewn throughout the neighborhood.

Firefighters from several jurisdictions were on the scene.
