Tax issues prove Geithner isn't best

After watching and reading about the hearings for Mr. Geithner to Treasury Secretary you have to wonder if we're in the real world. Geithner has said his mistakes in not reporting and paying taxes was an honest mistake. He was sent a notification from the IMF several times that he must not only pay these costs but was given the additional income separately to do so for four years.

There is little confusing about this process many people must file a schedule C for IRS, including me and you'd have to be incompetent or a cheat not to include, it is that obvious. After finally getting caught he paid for the last 2 years he was audited for, but didn't for the first 2 years, until now, when he was caught again, and finally paid.

He was approved with terms like: "He's the most competent person for the job," "He has been totally involved in rescue package," and "We can't afford not to have him."

My fellow Americans, this was not an honest mistake, it was a dishonest mistake. If Tim Geithner is the best this country has to offer to be Secretary of the Treasurer I'd recommend we all go back to putting our money in the mattress because he's either a crook or incompetent and the result will be the same.
