Pray for Obama to do right thing
"He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" - Micah 6:8 When the candidates were campaigning, Pastor Rick Warren interviewed both John McCain and Barack Obama. When Obama was interviewed he recited the above Bible verse as though it were his life verse.
However, as soon as Obama was elected, one of the first things he did was to make getting an abortion easier than it was before. Where is the justice and mercy for the unborn child?
The following milestones have been documented by scientific research: Conception: Father's sperm penetrates mother's egg cell. Genetic instructions from parents interact to begin a new and unique individual. First day: The first cell divides into two, the two into four, and so on. Five to nine days: The new individual burrows into the wall of the womb. Sex can be determined. Eighteen days: Heart is forming; eyes developing. Twenty days: Foundations of brain, spinal cord and nervous system are laid. Twenty-four days: Heart begins to beat. Twenty-eight days: Muscles are developing along the future spine. Arms and legs are budding.
The unborn child is the most vulnerable member of our society. In order for our country to continue to be a great country, it must protect all of its members.
Since the unborn child has no voice (yet), those of us who value and respect life must speak for them and defend their rights. Also, we must pray for our new president - that he will not just pander to his liberal cronies and do what is politically expedient, but that he will seriously consider the consequences of his actions, and try to do the right thing.
