Morehead State beats Eastern Illinois 64-48

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Maze Stallworth scored 20 points and Kenneth Faried notched a double-double to lead Morehead State in a 64-48 win over Eastern Illinois on Thursday night.

Faried scored 16 points and grabbed 13 boards and Demonte Harper chipped in with 11 points for the Eagles (15-11, 11-3 Ohio Valley Conference), who remain in first place in the OVC.

Tyler Laser scored 17 points to lead the Panthers (11-13, 8-6), and was the only player in double figures for Eastern Illinois.

The Eagles opened on a 20-8 run, led by 12 at halftime and cruised to victory in the second half.

Morehead State hit 10 3-pointers to the Panthers' five. Stallworth was 6-for-10 from beyond the arc.

The win avenged Morehead State's 67-61 loss to Eastern Illinois on Jan. 17.
