Refuse donations from bailed out banks

Where was our federal government during the past decade while this financial crisis was growing and growing? Is it not their responsibility with the laws they enact and the committees they lead to protect the American people? I have yet to hear any of the senators or congressmen who have been handing out our money to bail out these corrupt banking and financial institutions' that they will not accept any campaign contributions from these companies - and I'm sure we won't.

I have yet to hear that they will investigate the massive corruption and prosecute the people responsible for this financial mess. The banking and financial institutions are the largest contributors to the officials we have been running our country. It is with these campaign contributions from these powerful and corrupt banking and financial institutions that they position themselves to win re-election over anyone that may run against them. Once in power, they pass laws to protect these institutions. This is a complete conflict of interest and the people running this country care only about the power they hold and not the best interest of the people. It's all about the power they control and the benefits they receive from this power.
