Want to check that high school again?
I read with interest your article of Jan. 22 titled 'Prospect Grad Honored by NYC Theater School,' about actor and director Richard Pinter.
If, as the article stated, Pinter graduated from Prospect High in 1960, he must have graduated alone, because the first graduating class of Prospect, the second high school built in District 214, was the class of 1961. In the spring of 1960, only freshmen, sophomores, and juniors were attending Prospect. That year, seniors in the district graduated from the old Arlington High.
Indeed, Pinter, under his real name Pinkos, is listed as a junior in the Arlington High yearbook of 1959.
