1 dead, 1 wounded in Skokie shooting

Police in Skokie say they are interviewing several people who witnessed a fatal shooting outside a carwash there and have identified a person of interest in the case.

Sgt. Frederick Brehmer of the Skokie Police Department says officers received several calls early Sunday morning about shots fired just outside Lucky's Hand Carwash and Detailing, near the Chicago Transit Agency's Yellow Line rapid transit tracks.

When police arrived, they discovered two gunshot victims -- a Chicago man who later died, and a second person who was reported in critical condition Sunday night at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.

Brehmer identified the slain man as 21-year-old Turner E. Yaghoub.
