Central High guys vie for Mr. CHS
The Central High School Post Prom Committee sponsors the sixth annual "Mr. CHS Contest" at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8 in the Central High School auditorium, 44W625 Plato Road, Burlington. It has been a sold-out crowd in the years past, so buy your tickets early. Doors open at 12:15 p.m.
Eight of Central's most outgoing male students will strut their stuff in hopes of winning the title of Mr. CHS. The competition will include contestant photo shoots, acting out commercials, talent, formalwear and interviews. In addition to the crowning of Mr. CHS, there will be an award given for "Central's Next Top Model." This is a chance for audience members to support a favorite contestant by making donations.
The young men who will be competing for Mr. CHS are seniors Mark Mastio, Tjay Pasia, Sam Schmalz and Ryan Woodard. Representing the junior class are Dan Dorgan, Luke Mulkey, Drew Stover and David Zabilka. Central High School's junior and senior girls will be participating in a dance and TV commercial with each of the Mr. CHS contestants.
Tickets are $8 each and are available at Central High School front office, 44W625 Plato Road, Burlington. The proceeds will benefit the CHS Post Prom Committee, whose goal is to provide a safe, alcohol-free, drug-free activity for students following their prom. The tuxedos for the Mr. CHS contestants were donated by Black Tie Formalwear in Shelley's Bridal in East Dundee.
