Just like old times here in Illinois

Over 2000 years ago, Catiline was believed to be a traitor. Cicero the then-leading politician arose in the Roman Senate and said words that resonate even today. With apologies to Cicero: "How long, O Blago, will you abuse our patience? How long is that madness of yours still to mock us? When is there to be an end of that unbridled audacity of yours?"

Catiline was banished from Rome, the worst punishment the Senate could impose. Have we learned anything and, more important, will we remember what we learned?
