New leader for Geneva Park District
The Geneva Park District is promoting from within to replace its retiring executive director.
The park board has picked Sheavoun Lambillotte, superintendent of leisure services, to take over the job July 1. She replaces Stephen Persinger, who will retire at the end of June.
Lambillotte has worked for the park district for 10 years.
She started her career as a seasonal parks worker for the St. Charles Park District when she was a teenager.
"She has the vision, expertise and commitment that the board was looking for to carry on the tradition of excellence that has been established within the district," park board president Chuck Emma said in a prepared statement.
Persinger has been executive director for the district since 1979.
