Guns, drugs found in cop's condo

Police in Chicago have seized guns and drugs from a condominium owned by one of the department's highest ranking officials and arrested one man.

Police spokeswoman Monique Bond wouldn't identify the man, but she says he isn't a department employee and that the condo's owner -- Assistant Deputy Superintendent Beatrice Cuello -- wasn't involved.

Bond also says one of Cuello's relatives lived with the man but that the relative isn't suspected of any criminal wrongdoing.

Bond says after Thursday night's seizure on the city's southwest side, the man admitted what she called criminal involvement. She says he's been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of ammunition and firearms.
