Vibrant new developments in downtown Lemont
Singer Landing residents will enjoy Lemont's exciting downtown renaissance with new retailers, restaurants and residences combined with parks and recreation along its historic I&M Canal.
Singer Landing by Lennar features 42 townhouses with two to three bedrooms, 21/2 baths, finished lower levels, balconies and two-car attached garages. Buyers can choose from two floor plans.
The development is situated at the intersection of Main Street and Talcott Avenue. Lennar's features in each townhouse are 9-foot ceilings on the main level, GE appliance package in the kitchen with Merillat 36-inch maple cabinetry, granite countertops and ceramic flooring. Baths feature Merillat European-height vanity cabinets with cultured marble tops, and volume ceilings in master suites.
"Our buyers are taking full advantage of the revitalization in downtown Lemont as well as the centralized location between the West and South suburbs," said Leigh Nevers, director of sales for Lennar Chicago. "Quality construction with all the key customer wants included, a great price point for the location in the upper $200,000s and a Cook County location with quick access to 355 and I-55 expressways has also proved a great sales tool."
Singer Landing was named after Horace M. Singer, an early businessman who helped construct the Illinois and Michigan Canal that borders Singer Landing. He later formed the Singer and Talcott Stone Co. and was one of the first directors of the First National Bank. A street in Lemont is named after him.
The featured model is the Camden, priced from $285,990 with 1,721 square feet, three bedrooms, 2½ baths, finished lower level and two-car attached garage.
A half flight up from the foyer brings you into the open living and dining rooms that show a contemporary décor with a chocolate, green and teal color scheme. The living space includes plenty of seating and lots of plants and artwork.
The dining table sits ready to serve guests with six place mats and a center candle display. Artwork with sconces on either side adorns the wall. A pass through to the kitchen adds convenience for homeowners.
The eat-in kitchen sparkles with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops while 36-inch maple cabinets have rollout trays and crown molding. Dessert is served at the kitchen table where there is room to seat six. Ceramic tile covers the floor. Powder and laundry rooms sit off the kitchen.
On the second level, the master suite features a teal and chocolate palette. A teal wall adds interest along with a volume ceiling. This spacious room easily accommodates a king-size bed, and there's even room for a sitting area if homeowners wish.
The private bath features a European height vanity with cultured marble top and a tub/shower combo with an easy care tiled-look surround.
A boy's bedroom features a race car theme complete with hand-painted mural and decorative items. With two computer stations, the third bedroom is outfitted as a den or study room. A full hall bath serves the secondary bedrooms.
A half flight down from the foyer is the finished lower level shown as a family room with sofa and plasma TV.
With three bedrooms and a finished lower level, this plan allows for a lot of flexibility to fit homeowners' lifestyles. For example, secondary bedrooms would be well-suited as a guest room, hobby room or home office. The lower level would make a fine game or media room.
The Atwood floor plan priced from $279,990 features two bedrooms, 2½ baths, open living and dining room, spacious kitchen, finished lower level and attached two-car garage.
Monthly homeowner association fees are $170 per month, which includes landscaping and exterior maintenance, common insurance and snow removal.
