Health care must be in economic plan

We need to confront the reality that this country is facing a financial crisis. Pensions, savings and jobs are disappearing, health-care costs are skyrocketing, and retirement accounts are dwindling.

For the first time in many decades, current generations may be worse off than previous generations. It doesn't have to be that way and if our elected officials work together we can turn it around. It's time for change and I'm counting on Congressman Mark Kirk to help get our country back on track.

I commend AARP for calling on our elected leaders in Washington, D.C. to work across the aisle, develop solutions to turn the economy around and help bring affordable health care to all Americans. The financial security and sound health of too many Americans are hanging in the balance-and we deserve better.
