Does Obama grasp God's teachings?

I was pleased to witness the Obamas, Bidens and Clintons present at a church service the morning following Obama's acceptance of the mantle of our 44th president. I am praying that he will truly endeavor to follow God's will in serving our country. However, in assessing his views on abortion and homosexuality, I feel he does not understand or is ignoring God's clear teachings in the Bible on these issues. God does not approve of either, but he does offer love and ability to overcome to any who sincerely seek his will in these matters. These practices do not enhance one's life but living for the lord always yields peace and a fruitful life.
