Four years in fatal DUI crash

MARION -- The prosecutor in Williamson County says he hopes the four-year prison sentence a Marion man got in a drunken-driving fatality discourages others from driving while intoxicated.

Twenty-three-year-old Ross Hill was sentenced in Marion on a conviction of aggravated driving under the influence.

Justin Dodd of Johnston City was a passenger in Hill's SUV in July 2007 when it left a road and overturned several times, killing Dodd. Hill sustained only minor injuries.

Williamson County State's Attorney Charles Garnati says he hopes the tragedy shows young adults they need to be more careful and how a night meant to be fun turned deadly.

Hill's attorney had sought an alternative sentence, perhaps including boot camp.
