If Blago really cared he would resign
Gov. Blagojevich was crying at his news conference that he is being treated unfairly even though everything is on tape that he did and he urged newspapers to write editorials standing up for him. Well, here's my letter on the editorial page for him: The very best thing for the governor to do for the state of Illinois is to resign. Remember how President Clinton put this country through hell with his impeachment process and all that goes with it? If Clinton had just admitted from the beginning of his affair, then the American public would not have had to listen night after night about it.
Why on Earth, if Blagojevich feels so strongly about the people of this state, would he want us to have to go through his impeachment? Why would he want to cause more problems by boycotting his trial and having suits against it? He stands there at his news conference babbling on with metaphors and catchphrases. Here's one for you, governor: "You made your bed, now lie in it!"
Stop the chaos before it begins and just do the right thing for once in your life. Resign!
