Lake County briefs
Neiman Marcus store in Gurnee
Gurnee Mayor Kristina Kovarik could barely contain her giddiness after village board trustees Monday night granted approval so a planned Neiman Marcus Last Call Clearance Center store can install a 30-foot sign - 5 feet higher than usual. Gurnee Mills will be the site of the first Neiman Marcus Last Call store in Illinois. "We are very excited Neiman Marcus Last Call chose Gurnee," Kovarik told a company representative. She then excitedly said "Neiman Marcus" after the board's approval and jokingly noted the store is to open in April, before her birthday, May 4. Neiman Marcus Last Call will occupy about 30,000 square feet in Gurnee Mills.
CLC meets Tuesday

Part of the agenda that evening calls for the discussion of full-time employment of a CLC government relations representative and the search for a vice president of educational affairs. Deer Path Inn is at 255 E. Illinois Road in downtown Lake Forest.
