Be reasonable with driving violators

The Lake County Sheriff is in action! On Page 3, of the Friday, Jan. 23, issue of the Daily Herald shows the compassion of our sheriff's deputy implementing a "sting" operation on a citizen (subject) that had a driver's license suspended or revoked.

Yes, I understand that the law is the law. The violator did drive to the court and was going to drive back home, but the judge and sheriff thought it best to lock the violator up and tow away the car.

I am sure there was a fine and penalty already assessed. As far as I am concerned there could be a little leeway to at least get home and park the car. I do believe that the judge, being a little compassionate, could permit the violator at least a chance to get home.
