Bush couldn't have left too soon

After watching President Bush' second and FINAL farewell speech to the American public on Thursday evening, and hearing his lopsided (in HIS favor) presidential score card, I can think only of the timeworn quote, "The road to hell is paved with GOOD INTENTIONS."

Mr. Bush's "good intentions" over the last eight years have indeed led our nation to the precipice of a hell: economy, unemployment, home foreclosures, senseless war, loss of civil liberties/privacy, class warfare, respect on the world stage, etc.

His insincere and unconvincing attempt to write a final, positive chapter to his presidential legacy is, in the minds of countless Americans, a final insult to our collective intelligence!

I KNOW that I speak for the 70-plus percent of Americans that disapprove of Mr. Bush presidency when I say, "JUST LEAVE, PLEASE. Don't let the door hit you on the way out."
