Woman injured in I-90 accident

A woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries after rolling her car into a ditch on the I-90 tollway while driving east near Barrington Road during Friday afternoon's rush hour. Illinois State Police Sgt. Mark Karczewski said the one-car crash occurred about 4:30 p.m. He said the woman was in a red Ford on what also is known as the Jane Addams Expressway and, for a yet-to-be-determined reason, drove into the ditch on the right side. Hoffman Estates paramedics got the woman out of the rolled-over Ford and took her to Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. Karczewski said two lanes were blocked for a short time while authorities responded to the crash.
