More evidence of media liberal bias

It seems that some reality needs to be instilled in Edward Tobolik of Roselle (Fence Post, Jan. 16). Edward felt that Obama is a man who can think things through, but when confronted with examples to the contrary, felt compelled to write a condescending letter to several of us. In his attempt to downplay the realities of Obama's friends, his associations with ACORN, which provided for mass fraud voter registrations, the questioning of Arne Duncan to lead the educational efforts, and the liberal media, he felt the need to let us all know the state of the economy. Hey, Edward, we all read the newspapers, and do know what is going on. After all, those were the sources of our initial, factual events we wrote about. Unfortunately, today's journalism is not unbiased and is definitely liberal-leaning as displayed by an article from journalism.org on Oct. 22, 2008. The results for reporting on the candidates were 71 percent favorable or neutral for Obama, while McCain was only 43 percent. The negatives on Obama were 29 percent, with McCain at 57 percent. Although you wish to believe words are nothing to worry about, said enough times, they do form the opinion of many voters who did not pay close attention to the campaigns. The media is a direct result of the election. To borrow from Jack Nicholson in "A Few Good Men": "You can't handle the truth" when it comes to Obama or the media.

However, I will end this post as I did the previous one: "For the country's sake, let's hope this time around, when Obama does think things through, he makes the right decisions for the success of this great country."
