Here come the Housewives, with an Arlington Heights connection
If you watch "The Real Housewives of Orange County," next Tuesday's episode may look familiar. The ladies filmed an episode at Armand's Pizzeria in downtown Arlington Heights in July and the episode is supposed to air 9 p.m. Tuesday on Bravo, said Michael Caringella, an Armand's owner.
"This summer, the show's ladies and film crew came on a Saturday night for three or four hours," Caringella said. "It was a lot of fun. Some of the servers and hostesses had to sign waivers."
One of the housewives, Vicki Gunvalson, grew up in Mount Prospect before moving to California. Her family later moved to Palatine and she graduated from Fremd High School.
According to Caringella, Gunvalson's brother has friends who are Armand's regulars, which is how the crew ended up at his restaurant.
Caringella is 99 percent sure his episode will air on Tuesday when Armand's will host a viewing party.
