We can have prosperity again!

We can have full employment and a vigorous economy if we go back to what made this country great and reject the bogus advice of the "experts" that gave us our current economic disaster.

At our peak strength, we were a manufacturing nation which employed Americans with high-paying manufacturing jobs which created wealth. Then those same "experts" that told us it was good to spend more than we make, have high debt and buy houses bigger than we could afford also told us it was OK to ship our high-paying manufacturing jobs to China and base our economy on service jobs and irrational consumerism.

That house of cards has now collapsed and we now know that the "experts" were dead wrong.

All we need to do is to commit to leveling the playing field for American manufacturers and stop allowing China to cheat against them. Counter the Chinese cheating of currency manipulation, "slave" labor, unsafe products and working conditions and U.S. patent theft with an offsetting tariff that neutralizes the benefits of Chinese cheating.

In addition we should announce that we will start giving tax credits to business for bringing jobs back to the United States, and we will stop giving tax deductions to companies that move jobs out of the United States and use foreign resources instead of employing Americans (customer service, engineering, etc.).

Once it is clear that the playing field will be kept fair, immense capital reinvestment and job creation will occur in the United States as CEOs realize there is no benefit to shipping jobs to China and they can make more money by manufacturing here.

This is not isolationism. This is simply fair competition and an end to well-known Chinese cheating. It is also an end to the stupidity that has weakened our nation and ruined our economy.
