Police investigate 2 deaths after party

WATAGA -- Police are investigating the deaths of two men who died after a weekend party at a home in the west central Illinois community of Wataga (wuh-TAH-guh).

Knox County Police Sheriff David Clague says officers found one unresponsive and unconscious man in the house on Saturday evening and another was brought to a local hospital by a friend.

Both were pronounced dead.

The men were identified as 26-year-old Daniel Hall and 19-year-old Benjamin Fritz.

Authorities say both men attended a large party that started Friday.

Their cause of death was not immediately available. Results of an autopsy were pending.
