Have you ever heard of 'heterophobic?'

Lisa Rehling's bigoted insult of those in favor of traditional marriage characterized their support of Prop 8 and similar bans on gay marriage as "homophobic initiatives." Is it fair to those simply in favor of keeping marriage traditional, to be indicted as having an "irrational hatred or fear of homosexuality" as defined by the word homophobic?

Ever wonder, fellow conservatives, why this hateful reference is commonly allowed in society? You allow it. Do you know why the word "heterophobic" doesn't exist in any mainstream dictionary? You don't demand it. Collectively, conservatives have only themselves to blame for temporarily losing ground in the culture war. Conservatism in America is far from extinction, however, its members foolishly continue to sleep. The fact that conservatives outnumber liberals three to two isn't good enough as the recent election proved. We need to learn from, but at the same time, be classier than liberal activists and fight fire with a fire extinguisher. Build solidarity by opening your mouth every chance you get. Dare to challenge political correctness. Politely force your opinion. You'll be surprised how many more agree with you than not. No matter the outcome of your discussions, you will have been far more tolerant than liberals that only profess to be.

Emboldened by the election, the push from the left starting Jan. 20, to wipe away American tradition and values, will feel overwhelming. The time for the "silent majority" to wake up and be silent no more cannot be overstated. Let the results of the recent election be your proof and take nothing for granted.
