Shots fired at Chicago house party
Chicago police say five people have been shot at a house party on the city's far South Side.
Officer David Banks of the Chicago Police Department's News Affairs office says the shootings occurred early Saturday morning in the basement of a house near 118th and State Streets, and those who fired the shots fled before police arrived. Initial reports say the victims were four males and one female.
According to Banks, officers on the scene say none of the wounds appeared life-threatening.
The victims were taken to several area hospitals, including Advocate Christ Medical Center, Roseland Community Hospital and Metro South Hospital.
