If he goes, what will Rod take with him?

Gov. Blagojevich is in a state of denial of the truth: Paying for favors and an alleged Senate seat. I believe there were threats, also.

U.S. Attorney Fitzgerald has only 30 days for indictment, with possible extension. "Illinois is losing revenue" and is "facing a looming budget deficit." The trouble has cast "an estimated $20 million" due to delaying a bond issue. Sam Adams, Jr., one of Mr. Blagojevich's attorneys, says that "if the people of Illinois are suffering, he will step aside."

How much of our money and influence will he step aside with? This isn't our "image" (Tom Cross). It is our lack of character. Opportunity may look good, but opportunism is unreliable and unethical.
