Obama problematic for abortion foes

Obama's unfortunate election marks another "Day of Infamy" for this once great nation. Coming on the heels of the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, and the brutal murder of Terry Schiavo three years ago (in which the entire nation was complicit), this event is a result of the rapidly increasing moral deterioration of this country.

This deeply morally flawed man, while he was an Illinois state senator, actually voted three separate times against the state equivalent of the federal Born Alive Infant Protection Act, and was ultimately personally responsible for blocking it by burying it in the committee which he controlled. The act simply stated that if a baby were accidentally born alive as a result of a botched abortion, that baby had to be treated as a living, breathing human being. How can Mr. Obama possibly justify his votes?

In addition, in a speech before Planned Parenthood, Obama stated that one of his first acts as President would be to sign the "Freedom of Choice Act" which would eliminate all current restrictions on abortion, including the partial birth abortion ban, parental consent laws, right to know laws, conscientious objection laws on behalf of doctors and hospitals, and require the use of taxpayer funds to support abortion.

The great and saintly Pope John Paul II said that a nation which aborts its own children is a nation without hope. Contrast that with the above noted beliefs of the self-appointed apostle of hope Obama, who is the most radical pro-abortion president ever elected.

Every right thinking American has a moral obligation to oppose this man and his evil policies in every legal way possible.

I propose Jan. 20, Inauguration Day, be a day of national prayer and fasting for the conversion of this misguided man, lest judgment be brought down on this nation.
